How to connect to the Ninebot Segway App

Connecting your Ninebot Segway e-scooter to the companion app should be a straight forward process, but there are a few quick steps you need to take:

  1. First, you’ll need to download the Segway-Ninebot App from your app store. We always recommend the official brand app. Although third party apps may work, using the manufacturer provided app is the best way to ensure the correct support.
  2. Once downloaded, make sure that your Bluetooth connection is switched on and you’re not paired to another device. Most e-scooters will require Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.
  3. Turn on your e-scooter. You should be able to see it pop up on your list of devices to connect to. If this doesn’t occur, you may need search for the e-scooter via the app.

If this doesn’t do the trick, it might be worth checking the e-scooter is giving out a Bluetooth signal, using a Bluetooth signal checker. These can also be downloaded from your app store:

  • I have Segway Ninebot. The ninebot app was working fine since purchase. Today, I've inadvertenly logged out of the app. I have 2 options - Register or Login. I'm sure I must have registered when I first installed the app? But I can't rememeber my login method - was it Apple, facebook or email? I've done a password reset email request but can't remember the email i might have used. - i have about 30 of them! No reset code sent via email and I cant work through all 30. The app suggests I contact service@ninebot.com
