How Do I Use The App? (Generation 3 Onwards)

Understanding The Pure App – “Generation 3”

Compatible Models

The Generation 3 app supports the following Pure scooter models::

  • Air 3 range

  • Air 4 range

  • Air 5 range

  • Escape range

  • Advance range (including Flex)

  • McLaren range

Note: Once your scooter is set up in the app, it may be shown as “Gen 3” rather than your exact model. This is a known display issue and does not affect functionality.

Setting Up or Accessing the App

This guide covers both first-time setup and restoring access after updating the app.

Step 1: Download the app


Important: Do not delete the old app until setup is complete.

Step 2: Open the App and Connect to Your Scooter

  • Turn on your scooter.

  • Open the app.

  • Select your scooter to connect.

You may be asked to confirm your scooter using the ZYD code, which can be found:

  • Scooter Display → Settings → MAC Address

Step 3: Unlock and Set Your PIN

  • Unlock your scooter using the default PIN: 888888.

  • Once unlocked, you’ll be prompted to create your own personal PIN by following the on-screen instructions.

If the default PIN does not work: Contact Pure

Send us:

  • A screenshot of the ZYD code

  • Proof of purchase

Our team will assist with unlocking or resetting access.


Scooter Locking Information

Once you have full app access, you can lock your scooter via the app. Please note:

  • Security: We strongly recommend using a high-quality D-lock. The app lock provides additional protection but should not be used as your only security measure.

  • Battery Usage: When app lock is active, the scooter continues to use a small amount of battery. This is minimal, but worth considering if your battery is low.
