πŸ”© Stem Bolt Information & Installation Guide

There are four stem bolts β€” two on each side of your scooter’s steerer tube β€” which securely hold the stem and, in turn, the handlebar in place. These bolts must be correctly installed for safe riding.

🧴 Thread-lock / Patch-lock Application

If the stem bolts are removed and refitted, a small amount of medium-strength Thread-lock or Patch-lock must be applied everytime.

βœ… Recommended Products:

  • Loctite 243 (Thread-lock)

  • Loctite 248 (Patch-lock)

The new stem bolts supplied with your scooter already have this applied, as well as replacement bolts which are available by contacting our Customer Service team.

πŸ”§ Fitting the Stem Bolts

They should be tightened to 2mm, which is effectively hand-tight, using:

  • a 3mm Hex Key (included with your new purchase), or

  • a Hex Drive

πŸ”„ Tightening Sequence

Tighten the bolts in a cross-pattern to ensure equal torque on both sides. For example, if looking at the steerer tube tighten the bolts in the following order:

  1. πŸ”§ Top Left

  2. πŸ”§ Bottom Right

  3. πŸ”§ Bottom Left

  4. πŸ”§ Top Right

This helps keep the stem aligned and secure.
